Bachelorette Party Invitations DIY

cute bachelorette party invitations diy

One of my dear friends is getting married soon, and I am incredibly honored to be her maid of honor (technically, matron of honor, but that makes me sound OLD). Last week, I was a busy bee making her bachelorette party invitations. I knew I wanted something cooler than the store-bought ones that you just hand write the details on, so I got a little crafty and made some cute invites that I think fit her personality and style!

I was inspired by the heart bum and bra cookies my friend Karin made for me! I wanted to make paper ones with my friend’s sizes on them so party goers know what to get her for gifts. They’re adorable and so easy to make. Here’s what I used:

how to make paper hearts bra and panty size

To make them, all you need is a heart paper cutter (I have the Martha Stewart one), lace, a pen, scissors, and glue. To make them, start by cutting the hearts. Leave the “bra” hearts whole, but cut the points of the hearts off the bum ones. Then, glue a little piece of lace on the top of one side of the whole heart (demonstrated in photo below); the side you glue it on is the back. It should look like a bit of fancy lace at the “cleavage.” Then, glue a bit of lace at the top of the bum to look like the elastic of undies. Write your bride’s sizes on them — and voila — cute little bras and bums for your invitations!

This is what the back of my bra hearts looked like.

I rubber cemented my bras and bums onto pink card stock, and also glued on a little poem:

Sassy Satin
Lovely Lace
Let’s put a smile on her groom’s face!

On the back of the cardstock, I rubber cemented the party details. (Sorry for the ugly marking out — I don’t want any party crashers!) I played around with fonts for a playful look. I found some cute fonts HERE. They let you “pay” whatever price you want for fonts. Technically, you could download all of them for free, but I recommend paying a little donation at least once :) .

And there you have it! Cute and easy DIY bachelorette party invitations!
