This skirt is my new favorite thing to wear. So much so that I went back and got it in black as well (can’t beat the Old Navy $17 special!).  I wore this outfit on Saturday for an afternoon at the park. We’re discovering that Indianapolis is full of really nice parks.

The rest of our day included TWO trips to Trader Joe’s grocery store: one trip in the afternoon and one in the evening. Anyway, during our second trip Chris goes, “I wonder if anyone will notice we were already here.”

So, we get up to the checkout with our basket of taco ingredients and the cashier goes, “You guys were here earlier! I recognize her bright blue skirt.” He asked a string of questions about if we live nearby, if we were new in town, and then he asks, “Are you two a couple of runaways?! You guys look like a couple of California runaways.”

I mean, he was right. I was wearing my long flowy blue skirt, slouchy top, and had a braid in my hair. Chris had his beard, blonde curly hair, and plaid shirt.

We really DID look like a couple of free-spirited California runaways!
