Mother Nature is a big part of the photography on this blog, so in honor of Earth Day I want to share some of my favorite nature photos that Chris and I have taken.
Don’t we live in a beautiful world? Let’s do our part to keep it that way.

TGIF! What’s on the calendar this weekend, ladies?
Tonight I have plans to meet up with my old work friends for drinks, and I cannot wait to see them! Other than that, Chris and I are looking forward to a lot of rest and relaxation. I also plan on putting in some serious time on Pinterest, scouring inspiration for my farmhouse Pinterest board (a HINT about our house hunting adventure…).
See ya on Monday!
PS – Chris and I were reminiscing about Gelly Roll Pens last night. Anyone else hoard them in middle school?

What I Wore: Scarves Dot Net Scarf, Shrug from Anthropologie, Wildfox Couture Sweatshirt, Madewell Jeans, Jessica Simpson Boots
Where I Wore It: Sadly, the winter wonderland you’re seeing in these photos is melting into a grey, slushy mess. The weather has warmed up this week here in Indianapolis, and I fear that all the pretty snow will soon be replaced with mushy, brown grass. Boo! I’ve always held the philosophy that if it’s going to be cold, there might as well be pretty snow on the ground.
I wore this outfit on Saturday for house hunting. I don’t want to jinx our luck, but I can say that we’ve made some exciting progress this week on the house hunt. I’m thinking we’ll be in a house sooner than we imagined, and we are so excited!
How’s your week going so far? I’m falling into a rhythm with my new job and enjoying it more each day. There are lots of changes happening right now, but I wouldn’t change a thing
.

What I wore: Velvet & Tulle Dress C/O Oasap, H&M Leggings, Forever 21 Booties
Where I wore it: I wore this fancy little velvet and tulle dress for New Year’s Eve. Even though Chris and I didn’t go out and do anything, I still wanted to dress up for the holiday! We cooked up some delicious appetizers and a nice dinner for two and watched the ball drop at midnight from the comfort of our couch.
How was your weekend? Chris and I went out house hunting again, and we found one that we really like. Other than that, we relaxed at home and capped off the weekend with Downton Abbey!

What I wore: BCBG Turtleneck Dress, Urban Outfitters Sweater, H&M Leggings, Old Boots, Scarves Dot Net Scarf
Where I wore it: Indianapolis has been a winter wonderland the past couple weeks. It’s been so pretty that I don’t even mind the slush, the salt on my car, or the fact that I nearly fall down every time I venture out into our apartment parking lot.
Christmas break is winding down, and tomorrow I go back to work. Actually, I start a new job tomorrow, which I am nervous and excited about at the same time. It feels very fitting that I’m starting a new job with the new year, and I’m looking forward to seeing what else 2013 brings!

What I wore: The Great Gatsby Sweatshirt from Modcloth, Madewell Jeans, Snow Boots from Target, Vintage Hat, Forever 21 Faux Fur Jacket, Forever 21 Cocktail Ring
Where I wore it: I’ve barely taken this Great Gatsby sweatshirt off since Chris gave it to me for Christmas. It’s soft, warm, and cozy, which is perfect for the snowy weather we’ve been having. I gave the sweatshirt a bit of East Egg elegance with a knitted cloche hat, a faux fur jacket, and a glittering bow cocktail ring.
The English major inside of me is very excited about the new Gatsby movie, which is coming out on my birthday next year (May 10)! I love the ’74 version with Mia Farrow as Daisy Buchanan, and I hope the new movie lives up to the hype!
Are you looking forward to the movie?
PS – Have a fabulous and safe New Year’s Eve’s. I’ll see you next year

Is it really Friday? I’ve lost all sense of time during my Christmas vacation, but it’s been wonderful so far. Christmas night and into the 26th we had a lot of snow, which has made cozying up at home even better than usual.
What are you up to this weekend? Chris and I are taking one more mini trip to visit my dad’s side of the family, which is always a great time. I can’t wait to catch up with my cousins! And then New Year’s Eve is right around the corner. So far our plans include staying in with a lobster dinner and some champagne. Perfection! What are you doing New Year’s Eve?

Christmas break begins today, which means no more work until 2013. Yippee! Chris and I are hitting the road to visit our families for the holidays later today, and we are really looking forward to it!
As we’ll be traveling and enjoying a lot of R&R, my posts may be sporadic next week. I imagine most of you will be having too much fun to be on the computer, anyway.
What are you up to this weekend? Baking cookies, wrapping presents, and spending time with friends and loved ones?

What I wore: Old Coat, Modcloth Sweater, Old Navy Skirt, Jessica Simpson Boots
Where I wore it: Chris and I had a really nice weekend. Our highlight was seeing The Hobbit on Saturday. We loved it! We’re self-proclaimed nerds when it comes to the Lord of the Rings, so we’ve both been looking forward to the movie for a while. My favorite part was the scenes with Bilbo and Gollum, but I won’t share any spoilers in case you’re not familiar with the story.
Did anyone else go see it this weekend?
Other than that, Chris and I are both officially done with Christmas shopping. I wore this outfit on Sunday to pick up a couple last-minute items. We spent the rest of Sunday cooking chicken curry [again], wrapping gifts, and watching my guilty pleasure, Sister Wives.
What was the highlight of your weekend?!
