Can I just call attention to how cute the ice cream print on this top is?!
Where I wore it: Chris and I found ourselves with a free afternoon and evening on Saturday, so we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and find something fun to do.
We discovered that the next town over was having an arts and farmer’s market festival, so we headed down the road and perused the booths of local artists and farmers. All we bought was a jar of local honey, but it was still fun checking it all out.
After realizing that our refrigerator was nearing empty, we decided it was the perfect evening to treat ourselves to a dinner out (but really, what evening isn’t?). There’s a nearby restaurant that we’ve been wanting to try, per a recommendation from Chris’ coworker, called the Kopper Kettle. I’m so glad we went, because it was a truly unique and fun dining experience!
The restaurant is in an old, historic house that they have decorated to the nines with Victorian antiques. When you’re in the restaurant, you feel like you’re about to indulge in a 5-star lobster meal, but really the food is reasonably priced and just good, down-home cooking that’s served family-style. Not to mention, the waitresses wear French maid costumes, which just makes it all the more interesting. Ha!
I’ll let the photos speak for the beauty of the building and decor:
I thought the exterior looked very French Quarter-esque, am I right?
What was the highlight of your weekend?
