What a week. Between work, having my dad in town, Mardi Gras, Valentine’s Day, and a new development in the house hunt, I feel like this week breezed by in a blink. Here’s a little recap of the highlights:
Monday: We received some promising house news!
Tuesday: My dad was in town and took Chris and me out to dinner. As it was Fat Tuesday, we went to one of our favorite Cajun spots, Mudbugs Cafe! (Check out our last visit there here.) An Instagram shot from our dinner out:
Wednesday: This was my mom’s birthday! I wish I could have been with her for it, but a phone call had to suffice. I also ran around town after work putting together a little Valentine’s Day surprise for Chris.
Thursday: Valentine’s Day! Chris surprised me with pretty tulips and our favorite takeout curry. I surprised him with a bottle of one of his favorite beers, cheese, and summer sausage (I know the way to that man’s heart).
Friday: Today is work as usual … and then the weekend!

Bagel Fair is the best bagel in Indianapolis! I can tell you that for certain since I lived in NYC for 5+ years!
