Happy anniversary to us! For our first full day in Gatlinburg, we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. We started the day out right with a tasty breakfast of bacon and eggs.

What I wore: Forever 21 & American Eagle Tops, Madewell Jeans, Ariat Cowgirl Boots
It was raining off and on, so we decided to forgo any hiking for the day. Instead, we drove to downtown Gatlinburg to walk around. My first purchase was an umbrella, and after I got that I didn’t mind the rain at all. It was actually nice because it kept the crowds away and there were frequent breaks in the rain.

We dodged in an out of the shops, ate lunch at a little burger/hot dot dive, and made a pit stop at a cheesy indoor miniature golf place. (Chris won, 47 to 46)

After walking until my feet were aching, we headed back to the cabin to get ready for a nice dinner out. (At this point, it stopped raining and we saw an amazing rainbow from our cabin!) On our way to dinner, Chris was determined to find himself a pair of cowboy boots. He ended up getting a pair of Ariats at Stage West, the same store I got my cowgirl boots three years earlier!
We went to Bullfish Grill for dinner, as recommended by my friend, Rachel, and it was delicious! Chris got rainbow trout with beurre blanc sauce, and I got shrimp & scallop pomodori pasta. We were really pleased with our dinner.

After returning to the cabin for the night, we enjoyed some Tattinger brut champagne and a cupcake to round out our anniversary celebration.
What an amazing anniversary! Congratulations!
Sounds like a wonderful day!
Gatlinburg is where my husband and I went for part of our honeymoon! It is such a unique place. I’m hoping that we will be able to copy you guys and head there for our one year anniversary as well! Have fun!
I’ve never been to Gatlinburg, but your photos are making me want to plan a trip there – looks like so much fun.

So glad you liked Bullfish!
It always seemed to be raining when we went into downtown Gatlinburg, too!
We loved it! The food was fantastic, the staff was attentive and friendly…and the atmosphere was nice and quiet!
Lovely outfits!! We go there quite often because we living Williamsburg, VA and my grandparents living in Memphis. It’s a half way spot. Once when we went, my middle babe Sage got a t-shirt made with Selena Gomez (it’s one of those shops in one of the malls there) and the next year when we came back, they were using her photo as a model! It was great. Seems like you had a blast! Was the cheesy indoor golf place The Dukes of Hazzard place?
