What I wore: Whitney Eve Blouse, Old Navy Skirt & Sandals, Bracelet from Airzona, Bag from HandbagHeaven.com

Where I wore it: Chris and I woke up early on Sunday morning, and on a whim I decided it would be the perfect day to go to the Indianapolis Zoo. There aren’t too many days a year that have zoo-perfect weather! Plus, visiting the zoo is one of the tasks on my Summer To-Do list, which I am quickly running out of time to complete

We saw all the animals and watched the dolphin show, but my favorite part was actually the gardens. (Does enjoying the gardens more than the animals make me old?) I just really appreciate a perfectly manicured hedge, a beautiful bloom, and a gorgeous garden ornament.

Not only am I running out of time to complete my Summer To-Do list, but the cooling weather has lately has made me realize that soon I will be switching my summer closet out for heavier pieces, so I better wear my breezy tops, like this one from Whitney Eve, while I can. Speaking of Whitney Eve, she showed her spring 2013 collection at Fashion Week yesterday.

I watched it live on Youtube and she had a great mix of tailored menswear-inspired pieces and flowy feminine. She showed lots of muted, soft colors and pretty patterns. Her collection also had a really nice mixture of texture, from fringed tops and dresses to pompom sweaters and tops. I love it!

How are you enjoying these last nice days of summer?
Love the print on that top – so cute!
Sea and Swank
Thanks Susie!
Beautiful outfit and I enjoy that picture with the kids and animal. (Somehow human expression is more fun than just animal pictures alone. haha)
Haha, that photo makes me crack up every time I look at it. You should have heard those kids screaming!
