What I wore: Forever 21 top, H&M leggings, Nine West sandals, American Apparel bag
Where I wore it: Saturday was great. I did some shopping in the morning by myself, and I got some new goodies for fall/winter (I’m ready for the new season!). Later in the day, Chris and I headed up to Noblesville, Indiana where we walked around the town square. We checked out some of the antique shops and boutiques and took some photos along the way.
We then headed down to Westfield where we ate at our favorite restaurant in Indianapolis — The Local! I had a peach bellini (YUM) and their Caesar salad, which I get every time because it’s so good.
After that, we headed home and Chris let me watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s for the umpteenth time (I do love him for sitting through it time and time again.) I decided while watching it that Moon River is my all-time favorite song. I think the lyrics are so pretty and meaningful, and the tune is beautiful. I think Audrey’s version is my favorite just because it’s so simple, but I do love the Henry Mancini and Frank Sinatra versions too.
Moon river wider than a mile
I’m crossing you in style someday
You dream maker, you heartbreaker
Wherever you’re going I’m going your way
Two drifters off to see the world
There’s such a lot of world to see
We’re after the same rainbow’s end
Waiting ’round the bend
My huckleberry friend, moon river and me
(Moon river, wider than a mile)
(I’m crossin’ you in style some day)
Oh dream maker, you heart breaker
Whereever you’re going, I’m going your way
Two drifters off to see the world
There’s such a lot of world to see
We’re after the same rainbow’s end,
Waiting ’round the bend
My huckleberry friend, moon river, and me
In all, my weekend was wonderful and low-key, which is just what I needed. I did a lot of catching up on magazines (Vogue, Teen Vogue, Elle, Luxe) at Barnes & Noble, which always leaves me with lots of new inspiration.
I do hope your weekend was wonderful as well. Please share what you did!
Loving your bright colors here! Sounds like a fabulous weekend. We went to the beach which was eerily deserted – summer’s not over yet, is it??
Sea and Swank
Thanks Susie! I’m pretty sure we were commenting on each other’s posts at the exact same time
