The Grand Prix winner!

Yesterday Chris and I went to the 2012 Trader’s Point Horse Show. It was a wonderful  day! We got there early in the day to watch some of the junior classes and walk around the booths that were selling tack and lots of gorgeous, horse-themed jewelry and gifts. At two ‘o clock it was time for the grand prix to begin! Everyone gathered at the main show ring to watch all the entries compete on a course full of tall-as-me jumps. It’s amazing what these horses and equestrians can do!

Besides watching the competition, swanky horse shows like this grand prix are always good people watching. Lots of dresses, jewelry, hats, seersucker, and blazers. Most spectators gathered around the ring on blankets and enjoyed picnic baskets full of wine, cheese, and sparkling water. Now that is my kind of sporting event!
