Do you ever feel like you’re too busy for your own good? That’s how life’s been lately. This week, I traveled to Chicago for a copywriting workshop with my work friend, Sarah. When we weren’t learning about writing headlines and crafting the perfect prose, we used our spare time to explore Chicago a bit. Here’s what we did:

Meet Sarah — A fellow fashion-loving writer!

We enjoyed some DELICIOUS Chicago-style pizza at Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria.

We may or may not have gotten two rounds of macarons at Pierrot Gourmet.

On the left? Mint chocolate. On the right is strawberry. Both delicious, but my favorite was mint chocolate!

On Tuesday evening, we took the ear-popping elevator ride up to Signature Room on the 95th floor of the John Hancock Center.

There, we enjoyed the amazing view, as well as tasty drinks.

A very kind Australian couple (Mary and Donald!) invited us to sit with them so we could have a good view right at the window! We learned about Mary’s sheep farm where she harvests fine wool, as well as her shopping expeditions in Chicago. We were smitten!
We drove back from Chicago on Wednesday evening, and I’m exhausted! But I’ve got a lot to do and people to see — so for the next few days, I’ll be a busy bee!
That pizza looks amazing! lol you’re making me hungry
From Brooklyn with love,
Jen
Great pictures! I’ve only been to Chicago once, but I loved it! Glad you had a great time! Thanks for the great pictures!
I saw this view, in the daytime. This is much prettier.
Your pictures make me homesick! We just moved from Chicago to Washington state 6 months ago, and its a whole different world out here! I miss my Lou Malnati’s like crazy – but thankfully they do ship
Best ‘za in the world!
