We had the most beautiful, spring-like Saturday — despite being smack in the dead of winter. Christopher and I used the gorgeous weather to run some errands….including MAKING MY NAME CHANGE OFFICIAL! I’m not going to lie: Even though I’ve been posing as Sarah Heckle online, legally I was still Sarah Beckman (my maiden name) until this past week. But on Saturday I got my new driver’s license, and we rearranged our banking to make everything reflect my NEW NAME! I signed my name as Sarah Heckle several times this weekend — and I think I’m getting the hang of it!
Anyway, during this bout of warm weather, I wore my Modcloth cape!

I wore the cape with a cream-colored blouse, a peach skirt, tights, and some suedette boots.

I’ve discovered different ways to wear the cape, including that it looks cute unbuttoned!

Here you can see my blouse’s details. I love this shirt. It’s very light and airy, and it has wide, cape-like arm holes. It has pretty floral lace details that make it very feminine.

Anyone else having awesome warm weather that’s making fashion more fun?
If you haven’t already, change your name on your passport, too – it’s free if you do it within one year of getting married!
Good to know! Thanks for the tip. I’m hoping Christopher and I can take another tropical vaca this year — passport needed!
You’re outfit is so cute, I wish we had a bit of Spring in Scotland

Thanks! I have a feeling we’ll be paying for all this warm weather here in a couple months when it should be spring!
I love how you styled the cape, looks so cozy! I’ve been married almost six months and still haven’t made the name switch…I need need to get on that!
Thanks so much! I dread (and seriously procrastinate when it comes to) doing anything related to the BMV, social security office, banking, insurance, etc, etc. etc.
(I’m a fan of your blog, btw! Thanks for stopping by!)
