On cold and rainy November nights I love to curl up on the couch with my husband and a mug of hot buttered rum.

Hot Buttered Rum Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 small slice of butter
- 1 dash cinnamon
- 1 dash vanilla extract
- 1 to 1.5 ounces dark rum
- boiling water
- Optional 1 chamomile tea bag
How to Make Hot Buttered Rum
- Bring water to boil in a tea kettle.
- In the bottom of a mug, muddle together the brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
- Add rum.
- Add boiling water.
- Stir.
I like to steep a chamomile tea bag in the drink for a couple minutes to make it a hot buttered rum toddy!

YUM! This looks perfect for a chilly night like last night. I’ll have to try it!
This might just be perfect for my Thanksgiving potluck coming up! Thanks for sharing.

It would be perfect for that! It’s really easy to bulk up the quantities and boil a whole pot of water to make hot buttered rum for all
