A Day at Anderson Orchard

On Saturday, Christopher and I went to Anderson Orchard to choose a pumpkin, sip cider, and stock up on homegrown Jonathan  apples.

I consider myself to be somewhat of a country gal. I grew up in a rural area of Northern Kentucky. I had a horse and was active in 4H. And two years ago I worked at farm for the summer and fall months. I worked in the stand selling peaches and tomatoes during summer and apples and pumpkins during fall.

These days, fun days outside are too few and far between. Of course, I had to wear my mom’s old cropped flannel top from the 70s.

And I also wore one of my DIY bow clips!

Everything about fall is so beautiful, from the wonderful temperatures, to the COLORS. Getting to see fall’s colors makes dealing with the Midwest’s crazy weather totally worth it.

My prized purchase from our day at the orchard is a tiny little gourd that looks like a miniature pumpkin — it’s a trinket made by nature!

Which, I’ve found doubles as a lovely little DIY ring holder!

Do you make a point to go to the orchard each fall?
